Having an X-Ray Imaging suite installed can be quite a daunting process. The capital outlay is large and the disruption a major installation might cause can seem overwhelming. However, this is no longer the case. At AcuMed Imaging, we have a comprehensive plan of action that takes all of the stress away from you as a customer.

The benefits of having state of the art imaging not only enhances your practice facility and assists in complex diagnostics of patient conditions but can also provide a significant source of income and return on investment! Our process for getting you set up with an X-Ray suite is as follows:

1. Our senior installation engineer will visit you at your practice to advise on which kit is best suited to your space, check that the correct electrical supply is available in the building and ensure that the space has the correct walls and flooring required to install the equipment safely. They will, once the survey is completed, be able to advise your
electricians and builders as to what needs to be done to make the room ready for the installation of the kit.

2. With the room layout plans submitted to us by the engineer we will draw up a scale plan for the kit positioning within the room and pass it on to our RPA for review. They will then advise on what, if any, leadwork needs to be added to the room to make it safe for the use of ionising radiation equipment. We will then pass their comments onto your builders to complete any required work or, if preferred, can carry out the work ourselves (for an added fee).

3. The equipment will then be ordered and stored ready for installation.

4. When the room is ready we will confirm a 5 day period, which is most convenient for yourself, to come and install the equipment. During this time the engineers will make every effort to cause as little disruption to the practice as possible and are extremely careful to keep all areas clean and tidy for the duration of their time on site.

5. On the final day of installation the engineers will carry out their critical testing on the kit and spend the afternoon going through comprehensive training with you and your staff on how everything works and best practice for its usage.

6. Finally, the next day, we will arrange for the RPA to come in and carry out their tests on the equipment and the room. All being well, they will sign the room off as being for purpose and you can begin using it. The RPA will also act as your RPA/MPE for a period of 3 years (all included in your initial payment to us)
