MX-20 Cabinet X-ray System

The MX-20 Cabinet X-ray System is utilized in scientific laboratories worldwide to produce highly detailed radiographs of seed and grain to inspect for viability, infestation, damage or contamination.

The system is available with either our large 12 cm x 12 cm DC-12 camera or our smaller, less expensive 5 cm x 5 cm DC-5 camera. Both provide exceptional 10 lp/mm spatial resolution in contact mode. Magnification allows for spatial resolution of up to 50 lp/mm. The 20 μm nominal focal spot and up to 5X additional geometric magnification provide ultra high-contrast and high spatial resolution images. If a larger field of view is required, the MX-20 can be used with a CR plate and small, upright CR reader to obtain a field of view up to 10” x 12”.

SMALL AND PORTABLE

MX-20 Cabinet X-ray System

Small and Portable. The entire system – self-contained x-ray unit, workstation, monitor, mouse and keyboard – is housed on a heavy-dutymobile cart and can be quickly and easily relocated as needed. The MX-20 is also available as a stand-alone unit which requires a minimal amount of space.

The MX-20 is extremely easy to operate. Simply place the specimen in the chamber, close the shielded, safety-interlocked door, and
activate the x-ray. Our advanced DX 1.0 software with ImageAssist™ and Automatic Exposure Control automatically selects the appropriate exposure time and kV settings for the specimen. Other important features include a post-image processing suite to automatically window-level and sharpen the image; Automatic Contrast Enhancement to provide improved depth and structure; and Faxitron on Call™ for real-time, remote system support.
